Jones Named AMCC Athlete of the Week

ERIE, Pa. - Freshman outside hitter Cadence Jones (North East, PA/North East) has been named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) women's volleyball Athlete of the Week.

This is the first AMCC honor for Jones, who led the team to a 2-2 record this weekend at the Behrend Invitational in the Junker Center. She averaged 4.06 kills per set and knocked down double-digit kills in each match. Jones recorded her first double-double with 21 kills and 14 digs in the win over Geneva. She also added 35 digs, 12 service aces and 10 blocks in four matches. Jones tallied a season-best 22 kills in the win over Houghton.

The Lions return to action on Friday against Denison at the Bluffton Invitational. Match begins at 5 p.m.
