ERIE, Pa. - The Penn State Behrend women's water polo team dropped an evening matchup against Mercyhurst Thursday, 12-7.
Freshman goalie, Hollyrae Hanson (Rancho Cucamonga, CA/Rancho Cucamonga) got the start in goal for the Lions (4-20). She made 14 saves and added two steals.
Lauren Wood (Vernon Hills, IL/Vernon Hills) paced the Behrend offense with three goals on five shots and also added one assist and one steal.
Brittany Pinter (Erie, PA/McDowell) and Maryn Horn (Houston, TX/Jersey Village) both added two goals in the game. Pinter added a team-high four steals and the pair each added an assist.
The Lions will travel to St. Paul, Minnesota on Saturday, April 22, for the CWPA Division III Championship tournament.
