Two Earn CWPA All-Conference Honors, All-Tournament Team

ERIE, Pa. – Penn State Behrend women's water polo Maryn Horn (Houston, TX/Jersey Village) and Lauren Wood (Vernon Hills, IL/Vernon Hills) were named to the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division III All-Conference Second Team, while Horn and Devon Van Rensburg (Johannesburg, South Africa/Crawford) both earned spots on the CWPA Division III Second Team All-Tournament.

Horn is a CWPA Second-Team selection for the third time in her career. The senior has played in all but three games for the Lions this season. On the season, Horn registered 17 assists on the year and has the third most goals (28) and steals (38). During the season, Horn set a new school record for most goals in her career, finishing with 156 goals. In addition to her All-Conference selection, she was also named to the CWPA Second Team All-Tournament for her play this past weekend. Horn scored seven goals, dished out four assists and made four steals in three games.

Wood tabbed her first CWPA All-Conference accolade of her career. She played in all 19 games in a Behrend uniform. Wood paced the Lions offense with her team-leading 35 goals and 22 assists on the year. She also tallied the second most drawn kickouts (15) and field blocks (3) on the squad.

As for Rensburg, she was instrumental in helping the Lions take fifth place at the CWPA Championships this past weekend. She buried six goals, including a hat trick in the 10-5 win over Grove City, tallied six steals and two drawn kickouts.
