Wood Named CWPA Player Of The Week

ERIE, Pa. - Penn State Behrend women's water polo senior Lauren Wood (Vernon Hills, IL/Vernon Hills) was named the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Player of the Week.

Wood scored 30 goals, while making six steals and dishing out six assists for the Lions this week. She broke the program record for career goals with five against Washington & Jefferson this weekend. Wood also broke the program record for drawn penalty shots with three vs. Utica, breaking a six-year old record. She also broke a 15-year old record for drawn penalty shots in a season with nine. 

Carson Hagood (Orlando, FL/Bishop Moore Catholic) was named to the honor roll for Defensive Player of the Week while Mackensie Robie (Girard, PA/Giard) was named honor roll for Rookie of the Week.
