Women's Cross Country Places Sixth

OBERLIN, Oh. – The Penn State Behrend women's cross country team competed at the Oberlin College Inter-Regional Rumble 6k Saturday morning in anticipation for next week's Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Championships. The Lions finished in sixth place out of 29 teams with a score of 227.

Returning to action since September 15th, Savanna Carr (Franklin, PA/Franklin Area) paced Behrend with a 7th place overall finish. She finished with total time of 22:30.0.

Riley Crissman (Bradford, PA/Bradford Area) and Jenna Shelton (Cabot, PA/Knoch) crossed the finish line in 20th and 39th places respectively. Crissman finished with a time 22:57.1 and Shelton had a time of 23:30.2.

Courtney Sargent (Erie, PA/Collegiate Academy) placed fourth for the Lions' lineup, earning a 66th place overall. She ran a time of 23:54.8. Caitlin Plazony (Fairview, PA/Fairview) rounded out Behrend's top five finishers with a time of 24:32.8, earning her a 99th place finish overall.

Behrend returns to action October 28th when they head to Hamburg, New York to compete in the AMCC Championships. Race time is set for 11 a.m.
