Nola Named Runner of the Year, Six Named All-Conference

ERIE, Pa. – The Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) office released its end of season awards and honors on Thursday for women's cross country that included six Penn State Behrend runners named to the All-Conference team.

Freshman Olivia Nola (Erie, PA/Collegiate Academy) took the conference by storm and was named AMCC Runner of the Year. She did not let another conference runner beat her in an event this season including her own team. Nola finished with three of the top-five fastest times in the conference this year and topped it off as the individual champion at the AMCC Championship.

With a second-place finish at the AMCC final, Izzy Spires (Wattsburg, PA/Seneca) earned her second All-Conference selection along with Jessie Johnson (Edinboro, PA/General McLane) who finished fourth last weekend.

Rounding out the rest of the selections were Emily Ferrans (Bradfordwoods, PA/North Allegheny) who earned her third selection and Megan Swantner (Saxonburg, PA/Knoch) and Julia Fasiczka (North Huntingdon, PA/Norwin) being named to their first All-Conference team.
