Three Selected AMCC Athletes of the Week

ERIE, Pa. – Three Penn State Behrend student-athletes were named Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Athletes of the Week, announced on Monday.

Setter Hannah Saunders (Elizabeth, PA/Elizabeth Forward) was chosen Women's Volleyball Athlete of the Week for averaging 8.13 assists per set and helping the Lions captured the Lycoming Tournament in a 5-0 week. She was named to the Lycoming All-Tournament Team for recording 116 assists, 23 kill and 15 digs. 

Sophomore Riley Crissman (Bradford, PA/Bradford) was selected Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week for leading the Behrend for the second straight meet, finishing 13th overall (out of 147) with a time of 24:03.6. She helped the Lions earn sixth place out of 16 teams.

Senior Ania Gorski (Harborcreek, PA/Harbor Creek) was named Defensive Women's Soccer Player of the Week for earning a pair of wins this week for the Lions. She made six saves in the overtime win against Houghton on Tuesday and then allowed just one goal on Saturday against Altoona for a 0.47 goals-against average and .900 save percentage for the week.
