ERIE, Pa. – Penn State Behrend men's basketball player Dan Wanker (Pittsburgh, PA/South Park) and men's diver Matthew Kuchcinski (North East, PA/North East) have been selected as the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Athletes of the Week, announced Monday.

Wanker was instrumental in helping the Lions remain undefeated in conference this past week, averaging 19.0 points and 7.5 rebounds to pick up wins against Hilbert and Penn State Altoona. On Tuesday, he buried a career-high 20 points on 8-of-12 shooting from the floor and grabbed seven boards to lead Behrend to a double-digit victory over Hilbert in the game of the week. Wanker continued his week by notching his sixth consecutive double-figure game, scoring 18 points and pulling down eight rebounds to pick up a one-point victory over Penn State Altoona.

Kuchcinski posted three wins on the weekend, two individual and one relay event. He beat out the Washington & Jefferson diver in a head-to-head matchup in the one-meter and three-meter boards. Kuchcinski began the one-meter with a 210.15 for a first place finish, and then recorded a score of 189.30 to win the three-meter event.
