Behrend Claims Presidents Cup for 15th Consecutive Year

ERIE, Pa. – For the 15th consecutive year, Penn State Behrend was crowned the Presidents Cup Champions presented by the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) after a successful 2018-19 season. The Lions completed the spring season with strong performances by baseball and softball, combined with winter and fall championships to earn the award for 18 out of the 19 years it has been in existence.

The Presidents Cup honors the most outstanding overall athletics program in the conference. Behrend captured five conference championships this season (women's soccer, men's soccer, men's basketball, men's swimming and diving, women's swimming and diving) and finished runner up in women's volleyball, men's cross country and women's cross country.

The Lions earned 98 points out of a possible 127 in 15 of the 16 sports sponsored by the AMCC to accumulate a .772 winning percentage.

Mt. Aloysius was the runner up with .703 winning percentage (81.5 points out of a possible 116) in part to winning the softball championship. Franciscan, who accumulated a .659 percentage, won the men's tennis, men's cross country, women's cross country and women's tennis titles for third place.
