ERIE, Pa. – Penn State Behrend senior men's soccer player Nick Schwarzel (South Park, PA/South Park) and sophomore women's soccer player Brenna McGuire (McDonald, PA/South Fayette) were selected Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Players of the Week.

Schwarzel was named the men's soccer defensive player of the week. He scored the eventual game-winning goal vs. Franciscan on a penalty kick on Saturday. Schwarzel also led the defense that shut out D'Youville, allowing just five shots on Wednesday for the team's sixth shutout of the season.

McGuire was selected women's soccer offensive player of the week. She started in two games for the Lions this week tallying three goals, including one game-winner. She scored both of her team's goals against D'Youville on Tuesday in a 2-1 win in double OT. McGuire scored a goal with seven minutes remaining in the game to force overtime and again to seal the win in the second overtime. McGuire also scored a goal against Franciscan in a 2-1 win.
