Behrend Lions Take Early Lead in AMCC Presidents Cup Race

ERIE, Pa. – Penn State Behrend Athletics heads into the winter season with a lead in the 2022-23 Presidents Cup Standings. The Lions won two fall Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Championships to earn 40.25 points out of a possible 47.

The standing are calculated on a percentage of points earned divided by the total possible points. It factors in both regular season and post-season finish to provide a weighted measure of success. Behrend holds a league-high ranking of 0.856 after winning conference title men's and women's cross country, while finishing runners-up in men's and women's soccer, women's tennis and women's volleyball.

Penn State Altoona is in second place with a 67.6 ranking percentage and Alfred State sits a close third with a 65.6 ranking percentage.

The Lions are looking to capture their 20th Presidents Cup since the award was initiated in the 2000-2001 academic year.
