PITTSURGH, Pa. – The No. 2 Penn State Behrend baseball team was eliminated from the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Championships on Saturday at La Roche, falling to the No. 1 Redhawks 13-3 and No. 3 Penn State Altoona, 5-3.

* La Roche scored 11 runs on 10 hits in the second inning for the difference in the game

* The teams only scored runs in three of the nine innings
* Both teams wrangled in two runs in the first and then Altoona tallied three more in the fourth for the go-ahead lead
* The Lions attempted the comeback in the ninth with one run but it wasn't enough to stay alive
* Brady Kress started on the mound and pitched three innings, surrendering all five runs to fall to 3-4 on the season
* Josh Wagner (South Park, PA/South Park) tallied two of the six hits for the Lions, including a double
* Wagner's double drove in Scott Sada (Saegertown, PA/Saegertown), before he scored on a Zack Bowen (Plum Borough, PA/Serra Catholic) single in the first to knot the game at 2-all
* Eric Mikulan (Pittsburgh, PA/Hampton) pitched six innings of relief. He allowed six hits and struck out five
