Stouffer Hits ABCA All-Region Team
June 02, 2022The American Baseball Coaches Association announced Penn State Behrend junior Isaac Stouffer (Punxsutawney, PA/Punxsutawney) as a Division III All-Region selection, representing Region 7. Stouffer finds the third team following a season that resulted in a second team All-Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) bid, concluding 2022 as one of the conference’s best sluggers.

Jake Deitz (Erie, PA/McDowell) helped send the Lions to the conference title game with a two-run single to walk off the Mounties in the bottom of the ninth, plating the tying and winning run.

The Lions rallied around a game-tying homerun from Isaac Stouffer (Punxsutawney, PA/Punxsutawney) in the fifth inning and didn’t look back, scoring nine-unanswered runs to close out an 11-6 victory.

May 12, 2022On Thursday, May 12, the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) named Zack Bowen (Pittsburgh, PA/Serra Catholic) a selection to the 2022 Academic All-District baseball team as an infielder. Each honoree demonstrates excellence both on the field and in the classroom as Bowen clinches the first team with a grade-point average of 3.69 while studying computer engineering.
