ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend baseball team will play host to the remaining teams in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Baseball Tournament this weekend. The Lions received a first-round bye following a conference-best 14-2 record and will take on La Roche in the first game on Friday, May 13 at 10 a.m.

Behrend News & Notes:
* The Lions closed out the regular season with a non-conference split, defeating Otterbein on Saturday and falling to No. 15 Baldwin Wallace in the finale on Sunday
* In the month of April, Behrend logged an overall mark of 18-3 with a team batting average of .340
* Zac Bogats (Corapolis, PA/Moon) led all hitters with a .492 average, collecting 32 hits and a team-high 12 doubles

* The Redhawks advance to the championship portion of the tournament following a sweep of Hilbert in the opening round of the postseason
* La Roche went 8-8 in conference play this year and ended the AMCC regular season with two losses to Behrend
* The Redhawks ranked sixth in the conference in batting average this season (.272) and seventh in ERA (7.97)
* Junior Nathan Stutz led La Roche in homeruns with six while driving in a team-best 35 runs
