ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's basketball team will travel to Portugal for an eight-day, seven-night international trip to play and explore from August 9-16.
This excursion marks the fifth international trip for the Lions. Behrend traveled to Germany (1998), Spain (2002), Brazil (2010) Costa Rica (2013) and now Portugal (2016).
The team will practice each day from Thursday, August 4 until they depart for Lisbon on Tuesday, August 9. The Lions will spend two days in Lisbon with a panoramic city tour and a game on August 11.
Behrend then travels to Algarve on the 12th for the next three days where they will play a second game on Saturday and a final match Sunday, in between more exploration and local sightseeing. The Lions will return to Lisbon on the 15th for their final day abroad before returning home on August 16th.
