Men's Basketball Heads to Cuba

ERIE, Pa. - The Penn State Behrend men's basketball team, the AMCC reigning champs, are making their sixth international trip with a seven-day, six-night excursion to Cuba from May 8-14.

A total of 14 players and the coaching staff will represent the Lions on the trip. The team will explore the cities of Havana and Trinidad. The Lions begin with a walking tour of Havana, Cuba followed by a dance lesson and dinner at Casa Alta followed by a Classical Car Tour and lunch at the paladar; a private, family owned restaurant on day two. The next two days will be spent in Trinidad. The team will visit the Bay of Pigs and the Parque El Cubano.

Behrend has three games scheduled over against the Cuban basketball club and professional leagues.

The Lions have also traveled to Germany (1998), Spain (2002), Brazil 2010), Costa Rica (2013) and Portugal (2016).
