Men's Basketball Celebrates Senior Day Wednesday Night

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's basketball team faces the Hilbert Hawks in the final regular-season home game to celebrate Senior Night on Wednesday at the Junker Center. Game time is 6 p.m.

Penn State Behrend News & Notes

* The Behrend Lions will celebrate the four-year careers of Dorian Connors (Girard, PA/Girard), Tyler Gates (Titusville, PA/Titusville) and Brandon Thorsen (Bethel Park, PA/Bethel Park)
* The three seniors have helped the Lions to an astounding 81-28 overall record and a 55-17 AMCC mark, while going 42-9 when playing on their home turf
* Behrend went 2-0 last week, defeating Medaille and Penn State Altoona
* The Lions have secured the No. 3 spot in the AMCC playoffs with two games remaining
* Four starters were in double-figure points on Saturday in a 13-point win over Altoona
* Connors led with 16 points, six assists, five steals and two blocks
* Last week, Kenny Fukon (Cranberry Township, PA/Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic) averaged 17.0 points and shot 51.9 percent from the floor, registering 20 points and seven rebounds against Medaille

* Hilbert is currently in fourth place in the AMCC with a 11-7 conference mark (15-8 overall)
* The Hawks are still in the hunt for a playoff spot (top six teams)
* Hilbert fell short against No. 1 La Roche 88-86 on Saturday
* Hunter Martineau had a team-best 30 points and eight assists vs. the Redhawks on Senior Day
* Martineau is first in the AMCC in assists per game (7.0)

 Series History:

* The Lions hold a 35-9 all-time record against the Hawks
* The series history began in the 1992-93 season
* Behrend defeated the Hawks earlier this season 69-65 back on Jan. 15
* Hilbert's last win was a 69-54 decision on Feb. 14, 2018 in the Junker Center
