ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's basketball team defeated Hilbert 77-61 in the final regular-season home game for the Lions in Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) action on Wednesday night.

* Behrend outscored the Hawks 46-21 in the second half to erase a nine-point halftime deficit
* Julian Bennett (Penn Hills, PA/Penn Hills) came off the bench to score a career-high 10 points to keep the Lions in the first half
* Bennett tallied 10 of Behrend's 12 points over a four-minute stretch late in the first half
* Tyler Gates (Titusville, PA/Titusville) did work in the paint, going 8-for-10 from the field for 19 of his career-high 23 points in the second half
* Gates also registered his first career double-double with a best 11 boards
* Dorian Connors (Girard, PA/Girard) collected his second double-double with 11 rebounds and 10 points
* Kenny Fukon (Cranberry Township, PA/Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic) tallied 13 of his 15 points in the second half
* Brandon Thorsen (Bethel Park, PA/Bethel Park) made his first collegiate start on the night
* The Lions dished out 23 assists and had seven blocks
* Behrend shot 58.1 percent from the floor in the final 20 minutes and held Hilbert to 25.9 shooting from the field, while nearly doubling the amount of rebounds (24 to 12)
