Kevin Scuilli Returns to Behrend Men's Basketball Staff

ERIE, Pa. – Kevin Scuilli joins the Penn State Behrend men's basketball staff for his second stint as an assistant coach with the Lions.

Scuilli was a four-year member and was a team captain his senior year at Penn State Behrend from 2013-17. He shot 48 percent from three-point range as a senior and was part of two regular-season titles and an AMCC Tournament Championship team. The Lions reached the postseason in each year Scuilli was a member of the team, including an NCAA Tournament appearance and three ECAC Tournament bids.

Following his playing career, he joined the Behrend staff as an assistant for one season. The Lions went 21-8 overall and made appearances in both the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Tournament Championship game and the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Tournament quarterfinals. Scuilli also helped mentor Behrend guard Malike Brinson, who earned 2018 AMCC Defensive Player of the Year honors.

Scuilli returns to Behrend after spending the last season as an administrative assistant for the men's basketball team at Drexel. He helped the Dragons win their first CAA Championship in 25 years, while overseeing the film operations for the program. Prior to Drexel, Scuilli was an assistant men's basketball coach on the Bethany College for two years.

A native of Robinson Township, Pa., Scuilli graduated from Penn State Behrend with a marketing degree in 2017. He also earned a master's degree in teaching from Bethany.
