Fukon Named Co-Player of the Year, Joins Gourley on All-AMCC First Team

ERIE, Pa. – The office of the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) announced the annual conference awards and All-AMCC selections for the 2021-22 men's basketball season on Tuesday. Kenny Fukon (Cranberry, Twp., PA/Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic) was named the Co-Player of the Year as well as Fukon and PJ Gourley (Butler, PA/Knoch) being selected to the All-AMCC First Team.  

Fukon led the Lions in scoring and was fifth in the conference averaging 17.3 points per game. Fukon led Behrend in scoring in 11 different games, hitting double-figures 18 times and breaking 20+ six times. He also ranked third in the AMCC in rebounds per game (7.8), seventh in assists per game (3.4) and 12th in steals per game (1.4). On January 15, Fukon became the 23rd player in program history to eclipse the 1,000-point mark, tallying 17 in a win over Penn State Altoona. After, being named AMCC Preseason Player of the Year, Fukon ends his career with the conferences' highest honor and as a two-time first team selection.

Gourley hits the All-Conference team after a top-6 finish in multiple statistical categories within the AMCC. Gourley carried the sixth-best scoring average with a mark of 16.9 and was second in rebounding, averaging 8.0 per contest while finishing fifth in the conference in both field-goal percentage (55.7) and three-point percentage (41.1). Gourley had a team-high 20 games with 10+ points and eight games with 20 or more.
