David Gahan enters his second season as an assistant coach for the Behrend Lions. Gahan was a four year letterwinner at Penn State Behrend and helped lead the Lions to the NCAA Tournament in 2004-2005 and 2007-2008 seasons.

In high school, Gahan was a 2004 All-City selection at East High School in Erie, PA.

Gahan served as the graduate assistant at Mercyhurst North East before taking over as head coach in 2009. Gahan is Mercyhurst North East’s all time leader in wins for men’s basketball and helped the team reach national spotlight as one of the best junior college teams in the country. He served as the head coach until 2016 before joining his alma mater as an assistant.

Gahan is a 2008 graduate of Penn State Behrend and has a degree in communication and media studies. Gahan serves as the Senior Sales Representative for Jostens in Western Pennsylvania.
