Joe Causgrove joins the Penn State Behrend Basketball Coaching Staff as a first year Student Assistant Coach for the 2018-2019 season. Causgrove is a 2014 graduate of Cathedral Prep where he was a member of the Ramblers baseball and basketball teams.

 

Causgrove was a three time letterwinner for the Ramblers in basketball and served as a team captain in his senior season. His success led him to Penn State Behrend where he played basketball for the Lions for the 2014-2015 season and was a member of a team that went 23-4 and was ranked as high as 22nd in the country. In addition, Joe was recognized as an Academic All-AMCC performer in his freshman campaign.

 

Joe served as an assistant coach or the Cathedral Prep men's basketball program for the freshman team as well as at the varsity level for the previous two seasons. Through this experience, Joe has become a perfect fit for the Developmental team that the Behrend Lions have added this season as well as a great assistant to serve under Head Coach Dave Niland.

 

Causgrove will graduate with a degree in Project and Supply Chain Management in December of 2018 with plans to further his education and become a graduate assistant basketball coach in the near future.
