No. 20 Men's Soccer To Face No. 9 Kenyon in NCAA First Round

ERIE, Pa. – The No. 20 Penn State Behrend men's soccer team will travel to Gambier, Ohio to take on the No. 9 Kenyon Lords in the first round of the NCAA Division III Tournament on Saturday, November 16 at Mavec Field, beginning at 11 a.m.

This will be their eighth appearance in the NCAA Tournament, including three times in the past four years. The Behrend Lions (19-1) earned the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) automatic bid to the NCAA's with a 1-0 win over Medaille on Saturday in the title game, avenging their only loss this season.

The Lords enter their seventh-straight NCAA Tournament with a 17-1-2 record. Kenyon earned its spot in the national tournament with a 2-1 win over Ohio Wesleyan in Saturday's North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) championship game on Saturday.

The Behrend Lions and Kenyon are meeting for the first time in program history.

The other first round game features Rochester (11-5-1) against Hanover (12-5-2), slated for a 1:30 p.m. start. Both teams are unranked in the national polls. The Rochester Yellowjackets are making their fourth consecutive NCAA postseason appearance, while the Hanover Panthers worked their way into the tournament by winning the Heartland College Athletic Conference on penalty kicks over Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.

The two first-round winners will battle on Sunday for the second round at 1 p.m.
