Swimming For A Cause

ERIE, Pa. – Beginning on Thursday, February 14 and continuing through the rest of the 2019 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Swimming and Diving Championships, the AMCC will be collecting monetary donations for non-profit organization "Goggles For Guppies" from all fans and participants in the meet.

In addition to donations, there will be a Chuck-A-Duck 50/50 event to conclude action each day beginning on Thursday, February 14. Participants can purchase a duck for one dollar or three ducks for two dollars. The goal of the event is to throw a rubber duck into a flotation device in order to win cash prizes. All proceeds will help provide children with proper water safety to limit childhood accidents in water related settings.

Since 2011, Goggles for Guppies has made it their mission to distribute new swimwear and swimming accessories to both domestic and international children in need. So far, the cause has generated over one million dollars to help underprivileged children become water safe as well as proficient swimmers.
