ERIE, Pa. – Penn State Behrend senior men's swimmer Quinn Fischer (Fairview, PA/Cathedral Prep) was named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Swimmer of the Week, announced on Monday.

In the season-opening meet at the Grove City Fall Classic, Fischer led the Lions with a pair of wins. He individually won the 500 freestyle with a time of 4:58.60, beating out second place by seven seconds. Fischer was also a part of the winning 400 freestyle relay, finishing in 3:15.16.

The Lions return to action on Saturday at Alfred State. Meet begins at 1 p.m.
