ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's swimming team had 10 different student-athletes named to the 2020 the All-Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Team, announced on Thursday.
The Lions earned their 14th consecutive AMCC Championship this past weekend thanks to 20 first-team honors and 16 second-team accolades. Senior Quinn Fischer (Fairview, PA/Fairview) and junior Jacob Schmidt (Erie, PA/Cathedral Prep) paced Behrend with six all-conference honors each. Fischer won two individual events and was a member of three winning relays. He was also a second-team choice in the 400 Medley Relay. Schmidt was the individual champion in the 500 freestyle, while joining three first-place relays. He also was runner up in the 200 freestyle and 1650 freestyle for second-team honors.
