Men's Swimming Headed to Nazareth Saturday

ERIE, Pa. - The Penn State Behrend men's swimming and diving team heads to Nazareth to take on the Golden Flyers in non-conference action on Saturday.

Penn State Behrend News & Notes

* This is the Lions are back in the water to compete for the first time since Dec. 4
* Last time out, Behrend defeated Penn State Altoona 141-118
*  Tim Compton (Pittsburgh, PA/North Allegheny) and James Connolly (Allentown, PA/Parkland) each won two events for the Lions
* Compton finished first in the 1000 freestyle in 10:19.67, before claiming the 200 IM (2:03.68) in the second to last event of the day
* Connolly led the Lions in the 200 freestyle with a winning time of 1:52.81 and then won the 500 freestyle
* Jake Schmidt (Erie, PA/Cathedral Prep) holds the top times in the AMCC in the 200 freestyle and 1000 freestyle
* Behrend recently was named to the CSCAA Scholar All-American Team for its fall GPA

* The Golden Flyers competed last weekend at the RIT Invitational
* A highlight from the RIT Invitational was a fifth-place finish in the 200 medley relay
* The Golden Flyers are 2-6 in dual meets this season, defeating Alfred and Utica
* Nazareth was honored with the CSCAA Scholar All-American Team Award
* The Golden Flyers compete in the Empire 8 conference
