Men's Tennis Set For AMCC Championships; Lions to Face Altoona

ERIE, Pa. – The Behrend men's tennis team will face No. 2 Penn State Altoona in the semifinals of 2015 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Championships at Club For Life in Monroeville, PA on Saturday.

The No. 3 Lions (6-8, 4-2 AMCC) square off with the Altoona Lions (8-2, 5-1 AMCC) in the second semifinal match of the tournament, beginning at 6 p.m. Top-seeded Franciscan (7-5, 6-0) will take on No. 4 Pitt-Greensburg (4-5, 3-3 AMCC) in the first semifinal at 3 p.m.

The two semifinal winners will play for the AMCC title on Sunday at 11:30 a.m. The AMCC champion will earn the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Tournament

Behrend is looking for its seventh overall championship and first since 2012. The Lions are tied with Altoona for most AMCC titles in league history.  Franciscan heads into the championships looking to claim their third consecutive and fourth overall conference crown.
