Men's Tennis Heads to Altoona, Mt. Aloysius This Weekend

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's tennis team will hit the road for a pair of Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) matches this weekend. The Lions head to Penn State Altoona on Friday for a 4 p.m. match and then face Mt. Aloysius on Saturday, beginning at 12 p.m. in Cresson, Pa.  

Penn State Behrend News & Notes:

* These two matches are the first AMCC contest of the spring for the Lions
* Behrend is 2-0 in conference action heading into the weekend
* The Lions defeated Pitt-Bradford and Pitt-Greensburg in the fall
* Behrend is coming off an 8-1 loss to Houghton on Tuesday afternoon
* Mitchell May (Erie, PA/Harbor Creek) and Johnathan Laier (Lansing, MI/Holt) added another doubles win to their resume
* May and Laier tallied an 8-6 victory at No. 1 doubles vs. the Highlanders

* The Altoona Lions are 2-4 overall and 2-0 in the AMCC
* Altoona is playing its first match in over a month
* The Lions have wins over Pitt-Bradford and Pitt-Greensburg in conference play
* Last time out, Altoona posted an 8-1 victory over the Bobcats
* Casey Hess leads the team with a 4-1 singles record at the No. 3 spot

* The Mounties have a 1-5 overall record
* Mt. Aloysius' lone win was a 7-2 victory over Pitt-Bradford
* The Mounties are back in action for the first time since March 6
* Medaille defeated Mt. Aloysius 6-3
* Cole Kazmierczyk tallied a pair of wins for the Mounties at No. 1 doubles and singles
