Men's Tennis Drops Nazareth Tuesday Night

ROCHESTER, NY – The Penn State Behrend men's tennis team posted a 4-3 victory over non-conference Nazareth on Tuesday evening.

* The Behrend Lions avenged a 5-2 loss during the fall season, edging the Golden Flyers by one
* The Lions won two of the three doubles matches for the first point of the match
* Jonathon Laier (Lansing, MI/Holt) and Graham Louis (Erie, PA/Fairview) earned a 6-3 decision at No. 1 doubles
* Owen Sinnott (Erie, PA/Northwest Academy) and Carson Souser (Clay, NY/Jamesville-Dewitt) went into extra sets at No. 2 doubles, pulling out the 7-5 win
* Behrend needed three singles wins to get the match victory
* Laier, Louis and Will Thomas (Greensburg, PA/Greensburg Salem) each recorded singles wins for the Lions
* Laier pulled out a 7-5, 6-0 win at No. 1 singles, while Louis went into a tiebreaker set at No. 3 singles to win 4-6, 6-4, 7-5
* Thomas notched a 6-4, 6-1 decision at No. 5 singles to help Behrend win its 10^th match of the season
