Track and Field Hosts Tri-Meet Tuesday

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend track & field program will host Mercyhurst and Gannon on Tuesday for a tri-meet beginning at 5 p.m.

* The Lions competed in the Alfred State Early Invitational on Friday night
* Behrend had seven first-place, eight second-place, and six third-place finishes
* On the women's side, Freshman Haley Felton (Midway, PA/Fort Cherry) finished third in the women's javelin throw, throwing 28.62m
* Madison Kappeler (Cecil, PA/Canon-McMillan) and Maria Campbell (Erie, PA/Villa Maria Academy) went third and fourth in the women's pole vault with leaps of 2.90m each
* The men's team had multiple All-Atlantic qualifying performances
* The men's 4x100m team of Eric Stehlik (Northport, NY/Northport), Amory Coleman-Reeves (Erie, PA/Cathedral Prep), Antonio Stello (Punxsutawney, PA/Punxsutawney), and Jack Georgetson (Aliquippa, PA/Hopewell) took home the gold with a time of 43.34, a qualifying mark
* Georgetson also qualified in the pole vault, reaching 4.40m for first place while Coleman-Reeves leaping a qualifying mark of 6.88m in the long jump
* Matt Michael (Erie, PA/Iroquois) won the men's shot put (14.37m) followed by Jake Rose (Lawrence Park, PA/Iroquois) in second (13.88m), both All-Atlantic marks
* Dan Dabrowski and Michael qualified for the All-Atlantic meet in the discus, throwing 43.49m and 42.23m, respectively
