ERIE, Pa. - Riley Schenk has been named the first full-time men's and women's volleyball assistant for the Penn State Behrend Lions.

She spent the last two seasons as a graduate assistant with the West Liberty women's volleyball program. She helped the Lady Hilltoppers to a 24-10 record her first season and to their first regional ranking in school history. This past season, West Liberty posted a 17-15 overall record and advanced to the Mountain East Conference playoffs.

A native of Lorain, Ohio, Schenk was a four-year starter on the women's volleyball team with the Mount Union Purple Raiders from 2014-18. She was a two-time All-Ohio Athletic Conference setter at Mount Union, earning First-Team All-OAC and Honorable Mention AVCA All-Great Lakes Region laurels during a stellar senior season.

Schenk graduated from Mount Union in May 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in sport business. She is working toward her Master of Education in sports leadership and coaching from West Liberty.
