Larkin Named Cross Country and Track & Field Assistant Coach

ERIE, Pa. – Michael Larkin has been named the Penn State Behrend men's and women's cross country and track & field assistant coach.

Larkin comes to Behrend after spending four seasons as an assistant coach at The College of William and Mary. He designed individual training programs for the hurdles, sprints, jumps and multi-event athletes. Larkin coached NCAA regional qualifiers in the 400m hurdles and high jump, along with multiple record holders. He also spent one year coaching at Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ. In addition to coaching, he was a psychologist for the Williamsburg James City County Public Schools.

Larkin, a native of Millington, NJ, was a four-year track and field athlete at The College of New Jersey. He helped the team capture two indoor and outdoor NJAC Championships. He was a five-time All-Conference selection in the high jump. He holds a Top 10 mark in the 400m hurdles and in the high jump.

He graduated from TCNJ in May 2016 with a bachelor of arts in psychology. Larkin then earned a master of education in school psychology from William and Mary in 2017 as well as an education specialist degree in school psychology in 2019.
