Three Named Women's Basketball All-AMCC; VanHook Earns Coach of the Year

ERIE, Pa. – Penn State Behrend women's basketball seniors Caitlin Carnuche (New Castle, PA/Mohawk), Kara Haslett (Baden, PA/Ambridge) and Alanna Dibble (Lakewood, NY/Southwestern) were named to the All-Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Team.

Head coach Christine VanHook earned her second Coach of the Year honors for leading the Lions to the Regular-Season Championship and the No. 2 seed for the AMCC Tournament. Carnuche landed on the first team, while Haslett and Dibble were chosen to the second team.

Carnuche is earning her second All-AMCC honors after landing on the third team two seasons ago. The senior guard ranks second on the team and eighth in the AMCC in scoring with 13.8 points per game. She led the team in scoring in nine games, registering a season-high 27 points against No. 7 Trine.  Carnuche posted seven 20+ point games and had double-digit points in 16 contests. She also leads the team with 2.0 steals per game and is second in assists per game (2.3). Carnuche reached 1,000 career points and sits at 344 points this season, while draining 61 three-pointers.

Haslett is making her debut on the All-Conference Team. She ranks fifth in the conference in free-throw percentage (72.5) and is fourth in scoring (14.8). She also ranks third in assists (110), fourth in field-goals made (138) and assist-to-turnover ratio (1.6). Haslett leads the team in scoring and was the leading scorer in eight games this season. She has scored 20+ points in six contests and registered double-digit points in 18. Haslett dished out a career-high 12 assists at Hilbert and scored a career-high 33 points in the AMCC semifinals vs. La Roche. She was also named the MVP of the Behrend Tip-Off Tournament to start the season.

Dibble is earning her third All-AMCC accolades and second time on the second team. The forward ranks third in NCAA Division III in shooting percentage at 63.2 percent, also first in the AMCC. She also leads the league with 114 offensive rebounds and ranks sixth with 8.7 boards per game. Dibble is fourth in blocks and fifth in field-goals made. She is averaging 12.0 points per game and has registered four double-doubles this season. Dibble has scored double-digit points in 15 games, recording 23 points on three occasions. She pulled down a career-high 18 boards against Allegheny.
