Kelly Wilson joined the Penn State Behrend women’s soccer staff as an assistant coach in August 2019. She brings four years of coaching and playing experience to the women’s team, spending the last year on the sidelines at Alma College. 

Wilson returned to her alma mater after two seasons as the graduate assistant coach at Hiram College (Ohio), where she was involved with the day-to-day operations of the program as well as the head coach of the Terriers' reserve squad.  

Wilson had a a successful four-year career as a Scot, where she was a two-time team captain and earned First Team All-MIAA honors in 2014 and 2015. In her four seasons, she tallied 23 goals and 14 assists, while starting in 65 of 75 games. Throughout her collegiate career, Wilson never scored less than 14 points in a season, posting a career-high 16 in both her sophomore and senior seasons. Her career-best of seven tallies came as a junior when she earned her first, First-Team All-MIAA selection.

In the summer of 2017, Wilson spent time as a head coach with a SuperClubs High School girls team during a trip to London, England. During that time, she handled all coaching responsibilities, including practice and game planning as well as coaching her program to a 4-1 mark. 

Wilson earned her National Diploma and Goalkeeping-Level 1 diploma from the National Soccer Coaches Association in 2017.

She graduated from Alma in 2016 with a bachelor of arts in business administration and a minor in communication and received her master of arts in disciplinary studies from Hiram in 2018.
