Lions Excel at Behrend Invitational

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend women's track & field team competed in their annual Behrend Invitational on Saturday.

Key Moments:

* The Lions had 13 first place finishes in the invitational
* Haley Yenchik (Cecil, PA/Canon McMillan) finished first in multiple events
* Yenchik took first in the 100m dash (13.14), pole vault (3.50m), and long jump (5.00m)
* Emily Mischen (Gibsonia, PA/Deer Lakes) took home gold in all three throwing events: shot put (11.11m), discus (26.55), and hammer throw (28.62)
* Caroline Upham (Erie, PA/Iroquois) led the women's high jump with a leap of 1.45m
* Junior Riley Crissman (Bradford, PA/Bradford Area) finished first in the 1500m (5:00.85)
* In the 800m, Savanna Carr (Franklin, PA/Franklin Area) tallied a first place with a time of 2:35.09
* Gabriella Loeffler (Pittsburgh, PA/Baldwin) took home first in the 400m while Suraihyah Sule (Snellville, GA/Shiloh) finished first in the 200m
