Behrend Women's Indoor Track & Field Competes at Nazareth Alumni Opener

ROCHESTER, NY – Sophomore Olivia Nola (Erie, PA/Collegiate Academy) ran a personal-best time in the mile, placing second overall to lead the Penn State Behrend women's indoor track & field team at the Nazareth Alumni Opener on Friday night.

Key Moments:

* Nola was runner up in the mile with an AARTFC time of 5:14.81, also a personal best
* Savanna Carr (Franklin, PA/Franklin) took fifth in the same event with a time of 5:22.71
* Madison Kappeler (Cecil, PA/Canon-McMillan) competed in three events on the night
* Kappeler tied for third in the pole vault (10-0), placed ninth in the 60m (8.53) and was 14th in the long jump (15-9)
* Ivy Laffan (Waterford, PA/Fort LeBoeuf) had the top time for the Lions in the 500m, running 1:23.08 for fifth place
* Laffan then took eighth place in the 300m race in 44.40
* Lindsey Hartle (Pittsburgh, PA/Avonworth) ran 11:34.30 in the 3000m to place 13th overall
