Behrend Volleyball Travels to Fredonia Wednesday

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend women's volleyball team returns to action on Wednesday night at non-conference Fredonia Blue Devils. The match begins at 7 p.m.



Behrend News & Notes:

* The Lions went 0-4 last weekend at the Behrend Invitational held at the Junker Center
* Behrend is looking to snap a five-match losing skid
* Junior libero Madison Clapper (Hollidaysburg, PA/Hollidaysburg) leads the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) in digs (143) and digs per set (5.96)
* Over the weekend, Clapper recorded double-digit digs in three matches for a total of 78
* The Lion won a set against Bethany in the final match of the weekend on Saturday
* Behrend posted a 3-0 win over St. Vincent and then defeated Marietta 3-1

* The Blue Devils competed at the Behrend Invitational last weekend
* Fredonia went 1-3 in four matches, defeating Bethany in five sets
* Emily Jones was named to the All-Tournament Team for recording 27 kills in four matches
* Wednesday's match is the home opener for the Blue Devils

* Behrend and Fredonia are meeting for the 21sth time since the all-time series began in 2001
* The Lions hold an 11-9 advantage over the Blue Devils.
