Sue Mazur (1992-95) was an impact player for the softball squad, and a four-year starter at third base for the Behrend Lions after graduating from North Allegheny High School.

Mazur was a team captain and named to the ECAC All-Star team. She was an integral part of the college’s most successful four years of softball as she led the team to back-to-back ECAC Championships, a runner-up finish, and another ECAC berth, while the team defeated nationally ranked opponents while attaining the program’s highest regional and national rankings and set the school record for wins.

At the conclusion of her illustrious career she was the program’s leader in hits with 127, RBI with 79, singles, sacrifices, putouts, and triples. Mazur, was also an amazing defensive player, and remains second all-time for defensive assists.

Mazur, who is a career .309 batter and ranks third all-time for games played with 141, led the blue and white to the winningest four-year period of Behrend softball history after her team worked for a 104-42 mark during her career.
