After capturing the conference regular season title earlier in the week the blue and white did not lose their swing.  The Behrend Lions dismantled the visiting Bethany College Bison 28-5.

The visiting Bison got on the board in right away after a leadoff triple and a single put drove in Bethany's first run.  They added another run in the inning on a sacrifice fly to leftfield.  The Behrend Lions got one back in the bottom of the first and tied the game at three in the bottom of the second.

The Behrend Lions bats erupted in the third. Ryan Liddle (DuBois/DuBois) led off with a single and proceeded to steal second.  Dave Miller (St. Marys/St. Marys) then singled in Liddle for the first run of the inning.  Miller then stole second and was driven in by Blake Pavlik (Apollo/Kiski Area).  The blue and white plated six runs in the third on five hits.

The blue and white was not done there they put up seven more runs in the bottom of the fifth highlighted by Josh Fyffe's (Fredonia/Sharpsville) three run homer and Miller's two run homer.  In their final at-bats the Behrend Lions sent 16 batters to the plate.  Rich Doyle went 2-for-2 in the eighth inning alone.  Behrend scored 11 runs on six hits.

Charles Zimoski (Oil City/Oil City) picked up the win pitching five innings, giving up seven hits, five runs, three earned and striking out five.  Steve Miller (Union City/Union City) pitched three solid innings of no run ball.

The blue and white tallied 27 hits on the day and all but one Behrend Lion got a hit.   Ed Kessler (Bethel Park/Bethel Park) was solid at the plate going 4-for-5, scoring three runs and driving in four.  Both Jon Gray (State College/State College) and Liddle went 3-for-4.  Liddle scored twice and drove in two runs.  Dave Miller scored four times, went 2-for-4 and drove in four runs.

The Behrend Lions will play at Washington and Jefferson on April 28 before they host Fredonia State on April 29.  The blue and white will host the AMCC Tournament on May 8-11.
