The blue and white jumped out to a 7-1 record after the spring training trip to Ft. Pierce, FL.  The Behrend Lions would put up huge offensive numbers over the eight games.  The blue and white would get 89 runs, 117 hits, 17 doubles, four triples and seven homeruns. 

Geoff Lang (Pittsburgh, PA/North Allegheny) played a big role in those offensive numbers.  Lang would go 13-for-30 for a .433 batting average.  Lang would use his speed to impact games throughout the week legging out two triples and an inside-the-park home run.  He would also drop two bombs in a one run loss to the number twelve ranked St. Scholastica Saints.  In that game Lang would go 3-for-5 with two home runs and four RBI. Lang is tied with AMCC player of the week Jonathan Gray (State College, PA/State College) for the team lead in RBI with 14. 

The blue and white will be on the road this weekend as they begin AMCC play against Frostburg State.  The Behrend Lions will have their first game on the Behrend diamond on March 25 against Medaille College.
