In Penn State Behrend's victories over Hilbert College on Tuesday, April 13, senior shortstop Josh Fyffe (Fredonia/Sharpsville) collected five hits to become the program's all-time hits king.

Fyffe entered the season with 177 in his career. He bumped up his 2010 season total to 48 with a five-for-eight performance in a double-header sweep over the Hawks.

Fyffe, a 2010 D3Baseball.com preseason honorable mention all-american, eclipsed the mark of 224 held by the late Jake Boyle (1999-02). Fyffe continues to chase Boyle's all-time marks and currently ranks second to him all-time with 18 home runs, 155 RBI, and 158 runs scored.

Fyffe was named the 2009 AMCC and ECAC South Player of the Year after leading the blue and white to its second straight regular season and conference tournament title last spring. He has been recognized in back-to-back seasons as an NCAA all-region performer. Behrend sits atop the AMCC in 2010 with an 8-2 record and 17-9 overall mark. Fyffe is moving along to a .485 batting average with six home runs and 39 RBI.
