Geoff Lang Among NCAA's Top Hitters

ERIE, Pa. – Penn State Behrend baseball's very own Geoff Lang is among the NCAA Division III statistical leaders in two offensive categories.

Lang is tied for second in triples (8) and triples per game (.27). The senior right fielder is taking his .363 batting average, 41 hits, 29 runs scored and 29 RBIs into the AMCC playoffs, where the Lions (21-10, 13-5 AMCC) have secured the No. 3 seed.

Among his many accomplishments, Lang currently sits fourth in Lions history for stolen bases (64) and runs scored (148), fifth in hits (183), and has played in 156 games in a blue and white uniform, which is good enough for seventh place all-time.

Behrend will host No. 6 Pitt-Greensburg in a best of three series on Saturday, May 7 at 10 a.m. in round one of the AMCC playoffs.
