Baseball Spends Time at Child Care Center

ERIE, Pa. - On Wednesday, May 18, 2011 the Behrend Lions baseball team took time to spend with the children of the Penn State Behrend Child Care Center, located on campus in Knowledge Park.  The wonderful spring weather proved to make the perfect atmosphere for kickball, wiffle ball, duck-duck goose, and freeze tag.

"We are fortunate to still be playing baseball at this point in the season and we wanted to spend some time playing games with the young kids," said head coach Paul Benim. "It was an opportunity to give back to our Behrend community. These kids have an amazing amount of energy and our playes enjoyed the morning."

As a part of their annual community service, the Behrend Lions have also volunteered hours to Habitat for Humanity.
