Behrend Baseball Heads to Mount Union on Sunday Prior to Conference Opener

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend baseball team will head to Alliance, Ohio for a non-conference bout with the Mount Union Purple Raiders on Sunday for a single nine-inning game. First pitch is scheduled for 2 p.m.

* The Lions combined for 21 runs on 30 hits in a non-conference win over Franciscan on Thursday
* 15 different batters came away with a hit with eight having multi-hit performances
* The Lions totaled 13 extra-base hits with six different players registering a double
* Isaac Stouffer (Punxsutawney, PA/Punxsutawney), Jake Deitz (Erie, PA/McDowell) and Shaun Mikulan (Allison Park, PA/Hampton) all left the yard hitting homeruns with Stouffer making the roundtrip twice
* As a team, Behrend is hitting .293 with slugging percentage at .428
* In 22 at-bats, Deitz carries a .500 average into Sunday's contest
