ERIE, Pa. - The Penn State Behrend baseball team fell to Mount Union, 7-5, in its regular season finale on Sunday afternoon.

Key Moments:

* In the bottom of the third inning, Chase Palmer (Brookville, PA/Brookville) recorded his 100th career hit with a bunt single. Thomas Nicely (Delmont, PA/Franklin Regional) would score on the play, thanks to an errant throw from Mount Union's pitcher
* The Purple Raiders took a 2-1 lead on a two-run homer from Eric Schilling in the top of the fifth
* Behrend knotted the score at two apiece in the bottom half of the inning with a sacrifice fly off the bat of Dylan Barnes (Pittsburgh, PA/North Hills)
* Mount Union put together a four-run sixth and one-run seventh to grab a 7-2 advantage, highlighted by a two-run single from Joe Lenart and a two-run double from Alex Stegman
* Behrend chipped away at the Purple Raiders lead with an RBI single from Barnes in the seventh and a solo home run by David Gibson
* Barnes hit his third long ball of the season in the bottom of the ninth to make cut Behrend's deficit to two runs (7-5)

* Nicely and Palmer finished 3-for-4 at the plate for Behrend, while Barnes drove in three runs
* For Mount Union, Stegman tallied three hits and Schilling led the team with three RBIs. Starter Jaired Lehman threw seven innings and gave up three earned with five strikeouts to earn his second win
