Behrend Men's Golf AMCC Championship Preview

ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend men's golf team will travel to Indiana, PA for the 2023 Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Championships held at the Indiana Country Club on Monday and Tuesday.

AMCC Championship News & Notes

* The stroke-play tournament is played over two days for 36 holes (18 holes on Monday, 18 holes on Tuesday)
* Tournament pairings for day one are: Pitt-Greensburg, Carlow and Wells at 10:40 am. Followed by Penn State Behrend, La Roche and Hilbert at 11:30 a.m. Penn State Altoona, Mt. Aloysius and Pitt-Bradford tee off at 12:20 p.m.
* Tuesday's action will commence at 9 a.m. with pairings to be determined by the day-one results.
* The tournament team champion will receive the AMCC's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament which will be held May 14-17 in Boulder City, NV

Behrend News & Notes

* The Lions are looking for their 11th AMCC Title in program history
* Last year, Behrend earned fourth place with a team score of 704
* The Lions carded a 354 on day one and a 350 on day two
* Behrend last won the AMCC Championships in the Spring of 2020
* The top five Behrend golfers for the championships are: 1) Jake Caldwell, 2) Owen Blum, 3) JR Hufnagel, 4) Andrew Hatton and 5) Jared Franc
* Caldwell leads the team and ranks fifth in the AMCC with a 77.90 average
