The Penn State Behrend men's soccer team entered the match against the Waynesburg Yellow Jackets with a 3-4 record.  The blue and white improved on that mark by beating the Yellow Jackets 1-0 in double overtime.

The Behrend Lions controlled the ball for much of the game.  Behrend had many chances to win the game in regulation.  The blue and white led the Yellow Jackets on the stat sheet tallying 28 shots and 15 corner kicks.  However, Behrend could not find the back of the net throughout regulation and the first overtime.  Until senior Mike Seth (Pittsburgh/Baldwin) won the ball from the Waynesburg defender and ripped a shot past the Yellow Jacket keeper with 3:41 left on the clock to give the Behrend Lions a 1-0 victory.  Behrend goalie Dustin Walker (Apollo/Kiski Area) recorded his fourth shutout of the year.  Behrend improves to 4-4 on the year.

The blue and white will open AMCC play when they host Mt. Aloysius on Saturday, September 27, 2008 at 3:00 p.m.  The Behrend Lions will look to start the defense of their AMCC championship with a solid win over the Mounties.
