Men's Soccer Named AMCC Team Peak Performer

ERIE, Pa.  – The Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) announced its inaugural Team Peak Performer Awards on Tuesday, recognizing a team in each sport with the highest cumulative grade-point average.

The Penn State Behrend men's soccer team was the fall sport winner based on the GPA achieved by the squad at the conclusion of the 2011 semester. The Lions not only thrived academically, but put another great season in the books by winning their fifth AMCC Championship and advancing to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

The AMCC continues to celebrate Division III Week, honoring the 1,700 student-athletes who participate in conference championships sports.

The Team Peak Performer Awards for winter and spring sports will be announced on June 1.
