Men's Soccer Falls in Overtime to Mounties in AMCC Semifinals

ERIE, Pa. – The No. 2 Penn State Behrend men's soccer team was knocked off in overtime by No. 3 Mt. Aloysius in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) semifinals that resulted in a 2-1 final score.

Key Moments:
* John Ziobro (Westtown, NY/Minisink Valley) netted his first of the season just two and a half minutes in, firing a shot from just outside the box into the lower left corner to open the scoring
* The Mounties answered almost immediately tapping in a lead pass sent from slightly beyond the 18-yard mark
* Logan Brisnky (Canonsburg, PA/Peters Township) had an opportunity to retake the lead but was blanked by the Mt. Aloysius goalkeeper, Luke Priestley
* Tyler Vandemerwe (Erie, PA/Cathedral Prep) had a chance to net the Lions second of the contest but fired a shot off the crossbar
* Moments later, Behrend was on the wrong end of another bounce with a ball ringing the post following a header from James Lynch (Erie, PA/Cathedral Prep)
* At the end of regulation Behrend was outshooting Mt. Aloysius 18-6
* Eight minutes into overtime, a scramble ensued in the Lions' defensive end resulting in Rhett Pletcher scoring the game-winning goal to send the Mounties to the AMCC Championship
* Mt. Aloysius outshot Behrend 4-2 in eight minutes of overtime
